Interesting website you have! That sucks about the Botox problem. Do you believe in any of those "Botox without the needle" products?

Derma Laser Clinic
wrote Friday, August 31, 2007 - 17:46 GMT

Derma Laser Clinic Leeds LS16 6EB left me with a half paralyzed face after botox treatment. I am unable to smile properly and look like a freak when I do. Also my eyelids have drooped and feel like lead weights, this also affects my vision. I paid £350 for treatment to eyes & forehead and I'm told by my own GP that they must have injected into wrong areas of muscle causing it to spread throughout my face. They said it will take 6-8 months to clear. I have complained but get the runaround. I am also sure that the chemicals used were being used repeatedly, as opposed to new ones unsealed for each patient. And I'm also certain that they were not as described and likely sub-standard generic chemicals from the sub-continent. I wish I could wind the clock back because Derma Laser Clinic - Leeds has left me without confidence and paranoid when in public. I just hope that nobody else suffers what I have. I found out afterwards on the Healthcare Commission website that they have a poor reputation for most things. I heard the person who administered the drug mutter 'stupid' to himself whilst injecting, now I know why he said it. I've since found out that there are much more reputable clinics. The person who administered this chemical into my face had only been on a short course before wreaking havoc with my face. He also used no hygiene such as alcohol wipes & gloves.

I also heard about this on Denver's KBPI radio (Rocks the Rockies - Hail Nasty!). My wife and I would fit in great with the crowd. I'm a handsom, hairy, pudgy, short white guy and my wife is a tall buxom beautiful black woman. We'd really like to visit Iceland, if the people there are like on this website. We passed throught there once on our way back to the States from Germany (we used to live there).

Great web site and can't wait for future pageants.

Best Regards,

Your contest is brilliantly subversive. I was feeling low after seeing a TV show last night where interesting-looking people undergo traumatic and unnecessary surgery so that they may look like some distorted idea of teenage perfection. Iccch! Untamed is a charming counterpoint to our self-obsessed infantilised media world.

EXCELLENT! I heard about you on KBPI radio (Denver, CO) this morning. I can't wait to see your contestants. In the Native American tradition, your face (wrinkles, scars, eyes) tells the story of your life. Elders are respected for their experiencial wisdom. Hooray for the true beauty of all sentient Beings !!!

A very beautiful idea! The beauty standards of today are just wrong. The contestants in beauty pageants like Miss Finland etc. are all the same, with no personality. Personality IS beauty! And being yourself IS beauty! People shouldn't try to force themselves to fit the standards the world is setting us with fashion magazines and skinny models. I wish you all the best! :)

I just heard of this on a radio I was going to toss out because only one station was clear on it " the BBC" .
THIS IDEA IS WONDERFUL. I wanted to enter. ..then I recalled the name of a great world famous woman who has helped so many, with her life instruction books and tapes. Her name is Barbara Sher. She and women like her are the real beauties of this world. the teachers, big sisters, care givers, and other hard working ladies around the world. Alas i fit in there too somewhere. This will do very well.

Thank you.

Perhaps you should get intouch with DOVE ( in the US) skin care as they are doing a big promotion about beauty. Best of luck!
